Types of Staff Positions
Counselors
Counselor positions are open to anyone 18 or older who is excited to serve students!
Counselors serve as the primary disciples for the campers throughout the course of the week. Counselors have the opportunity to hang out and participate in all of the activities with their campers.
Each counselor gets at least a one-hour break each day to rest, call home, get some caffeine or chat with friends.
A background check is required and will be initiated upon receipt of your application.
There will be training that will need to be completed before arrival at camp.
High School Staffer
Discipleship Program
The Refuge is now offering a discipleship program for high schoolers, for students entering 10-12 grades! Featuring opportunities to serve on one of the program staff teams. This will include special Bible Studies, team-building activities, and possibilities for mentorship relationships.
High School Teams:
- CIT (Counselor-in-Training)
- A-Team (Activities Team)
- Chapel Team (Tech & Dance Team)
There will be training and reading that will need to be completed before arrival at camp.
Space is limited to the top 15 applicants in 2026. Apply soon to be considered.
